Our 2026 scholarship recipient, selected by the MEF, is Emerson Petr. Inspired by his experience of watching his mother battle breast cancer, Emerson has made it a point to help others through their cancer journey. Throughout his high school career, Emerson has spent countless hours volunteering to help those suffering from cancer including making blankets for cancer patients and collecting items for the Cram-the-Cart initiative which provides snacks for cancer patients during infusions. This fall, Emerson will be attending the University of New Haven where he will be majoring in Criminal Justice and playing football for the Chargers. The CCF is very proud to present Emerson with our inaugural scholarship. We wish Emerson the best on his college journey!
